Why We Built This Site
Missouri gives the public several ways to locate court and government records, but the correct office depends on the file. Daviess County court cases are tied to the Circuit Court and the Circuit Clerk. Marriage licenses and original marriage certificates belong with the Recorder. Jail custody is handled by the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail in Pattonsburg. Sheriff reports, report copies, and nonemergency law-enforcement records go through the Sheriff's Office.
The goal is to make those office boundaries clear for Daviess County users. A person looking for a divorce decree should not start with the Recorder. A person looking for a current detainee should not drive to the Gallatin courthouse for a jail visit. A person looking for a certified court copy should not treat Case.net as the final certified record.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not part of Daviess County government, Missouri Courts, the Circuit Clerk's office, the Sheriff's Office, the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail, or any state agency. There are real limits to what a private reference site can do:
- We cannot file pleadings, tickets, probate documents, or public-records requests for anyone
- We cannot issue certified court copies, divorce decrees, marriage certificates, or jail records
- We cannot give legal advice, bond advice, warrant advice, or advice on a specific case
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or office term remains current at the moment you use it
Only the court, clerk, sheriff, recorder, jail, or state agency that holds a record can issue the official version of that record.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, operate their own systems, and control their own result sets. If a search box leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. That revenue supports the site, but it does not make any third-party result an official Daviess County record.
